In an effort to promote better communication between industry and academia, TEMIAC held technical forums on core research topics at least once per quarter. In each forum, several experts from industry, academia, and research institutes are invited to overview the reserach progress and provide valuable and insightful suggestions. There are about one to two hundred attendee in each forum, with good balance between the academia and industry. Abunant of time is usually provided for the attendee to exchange their viewpoints and trigger new idea. By holding technical forums, TEMIAC successfully bridges the gap between the industry and academia and brings a brand-new perspective for the electromagnetic theory and applications.

In additional to quarterly technical forums, TEMIAC, in corporation with the partner universities, also organizes or co-organizes workshops, education programs and international conferences.

| The objective of TEMIAC Quarterly Newsletter is to provide a platform for communication between our members from industry and academia. The Newsletter not only contains TEMIAC activity reports and exclusive interviews with EM scholars and professionals, but also introduces innovative knowledge and core technologies in related electromagnetic wave areas. |

The industry visit activity is designed to give our industry partners a connection to our academia members and a chance for discussing electromagnetic research and applications. TEMIAC initiated visits to 4 leading companies listed below. Every visit includes: 1) Company briefing 2) Participating professors’ short presentations on their major research areas; and 3) Discussion and general consultation on applications and development of electromagnetic technologies.

| To accelerate efficiency and effectiveness across research management, TEMIAC has embarked on an Equipment Sharing Project. We collect details of the equipment and facilities in the partner universities, including NTU, NTUST, NTUT, NCU, YZU, NCCU and NSYSU, and provide certain amount of free or reduced fee equipment usage for our industry members. |

| One of our major missions is to help our industry members increase the effectiveness in attracting talented students by providing the comprehensive recruiting services. The tools and resources we provide include: 1) TEMIAC HR Service Web Site (企業徵才媒合網http://104.colife.org.tw) TEMIAC HR Service Web Site is an online service for full-time job, internship and employment information searching, posting and matchmaking. This service is only opened for our industry and student members, hoping to satisfy the needs of both. 2) Collection of Thesis and Dissertation Titles (碩博士班畢業生論文題目集) TEMIAC collects the information of thesis and dissertations from graduates of the year, and issues the “Collection of Thesis and Dissertation Titles” in August every year. The collection also includes abstracts (Ph.D dissertations only) and graduates’ e-mails on their will for further references, which help HR contact the talented students who meet the requirements.

TEMIAC invited working professionals from industry to give speeches about electromagnetic technologies and development of ICT industry, share working experiences, and introduce their organizations to graduate students in the eight partner universities. The invited speech gives industry a chance to interact with perspective students face to face, and also is a great way for graduate students to learn more about industry.

| TEMIAC has proposed two projects, briefly introduced as below, and successfully in getting sponsored by MOE and MoEA respectively.
